Cynthoni - Hell Sings

 

I had to Google this with the special little "" things to make it stop auto-correcting my search, thinking i am searching up a Christian rock group with the same song title, Sub-text is for cowards, I guess.

The song starts with a vocal sample, which is always strangely Australian, anyway, it's right to the heavy break beats straight out of "breakcore is not a good way to get laid" 

And a very dubset saturated bass 

I don't know this one just hasn't tickled me the way Cynthoni does, look maybe i havent heard this song at 1am while a uk backpacker calls someone else a badman and then explains what it means in a drug induced haze.

The 2nd half of the song definitely puts it to 11, so I don't know,a dd it to your set, write in if it works, or if it doesn't, you'll be the first DJ to ever not play the exact right song at the exact right time

New album "lost in her virtual eyes" , god dam it's something,

 (I know the album has been out for a hot minute, but god dam it I work full time ).

A few months ago i talked a lot about what I thought was going to be the lead song for the album "Felt Sentient,Might Delete," 

I thought Felt Sentient,Might Delete may have be the foreplay for a much harder album. similar to the previous album "Sewerslvt Presents: Cynthoni, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2"

but no, this was the tip of the spear; it's all chill all the way down.

There are still the pads and amazing breakbeats we are all used to, and every now and again, we get the low hoover bass that we are all in some sort of fent-esk crisis level addicted to. 

This album is very lyrics-heavy, which is a different approach to the usual, but I think it's nice.

Cynthoni has gone from 4am music to 4pm music

Maybe I should start rating things; maybe this would help with those who ask me what I actually think sometimes.

The pads, the pads! 

I have seen entire playlists devoted to recreating this type of pad, but they can't get it right. It's one of those things that if you ever asked someone about the Cynthoni sound, it would be far down the list behind break drums. 

But it is the carry of this song, reminding me of Massive Attack on a bus in the rain, having their Dido moment. 

There is a rave coming up on Saturday through the Sydney Breakcore facebook , i'm sure this will be played there either at the start or at the end.
